PATH FORWARDING

Let's assume you have an account at ForwardingWeb called site.forwardingweb.com which forwards to members.tripod.com/~site. 

With path forwarding the URI is retained (for example, http://site.forwardingweb.com/help/ is the URL, the URI is /help/).

In other words, if someone went to site.forwardingweb.com/links.html it would forward to members.tripod.com/~site/links.html. 

Please note that path forwarding will not work in the following situations:

• Older browsers prior to version3. In particular, path forwarding does not work for WebTV users whose browsers are version2.
• Users who don't use the default (standard) browser settings. Some users have set their browsers to the High Security settings, which tells their browsers to override services such as path forwarding.
